Guan Yin Bodhisattva Dharma Assembly
Guan Yin Bodhisattva (Avalokitesvara) is well known for Her great compassion and loving kindness to save those in times of pain and difficulty. In fact, She attained Buddhahood countless eons ago and is known as Zheng Fa Ming Ru Lai, Correct Dharma Realization Tathagata. Because of Guan Yin Bodhisattva’s bodhicitta and holy vows, She manifests a thousand arms and eyes to save the suffering multitudes of beings in the earthly realm.
The holy birthday of Guan Yin Bodhisattva is approaching. The United International World Buddhism Association Headquarters, Hua Zang Si, and Sanger Mission will hold the Guan Yin Bodhisattva Dharma Assembly in the Sakyamuni Buddha Hall at Hua Zang Si in San Francisco on Sunday, March 16, 2014 at 9:30 a.m. We will recite the sutra and practice the meal offering to the Buddhas. The names of attendees and donors will be on the prayer list. We will beseech blessing from Buddhas and Bodhisattvas for happiness, auspiciousness and increase in fortune and wisdom. All are cordially invited to join us and share the Dharma joy!
觀音菩薩聖誕法會

Maitreya Bodhisattva Dharma Assembly
Maitreya Bodhisattva will attain Buddhahood in this Saha world to become, after Sakyamuni Buddha, the fifth Buddha in the era of the Bhadra Kalpa and, thus, has been respectfully referred to as “Maitreya Buddha”. The Bodhisattva appeals to the public for his generosity, contentment, and benevolent smiles.
To celebrate the holy birthday of Maitreya Bodhisattva, the United International World Buddhism Association Headquarters, Hua Zang Si, and Sanger Mission will jointly hold a Dharma Assembly to chant The Precious Litany of 88 Grand-Name Buddhas on Sunday, January 26, 2014, at 9:30 a.m. at Hua Zang Si in San Francisco. The monastics will lead the attendees in a ritual to pay reverence and make repentance to the Buddhas. The Beseeching Blessings Lamps will be lit and offerings will be made before the Buddhas. The merit accrued from the dharma assembly will be dedicated to increasing the good fortune and wisdom and eradicating the karmic hindrances and disasters of all living beings. We will also pray for world peace, the safety of our country and happiness of our people. Everyone is cordially invited to join us and receive benefits from this event!
彌勒菩薩聖誕禮懺法會
彌勒菩薩是繼釋迦牟尼佛之後，未來將會在此娑婆世界成佛的賢劫第五尊佛，故被尊稱為彌勒佛。因其豁達大度，滿面笑容的慈愛形象，廣為世人心生歡喜。

Amitabha Buddha Dharma Assembly
Amitabha Buddha of the western direction is one of the five Dhyani Buddhas. He is a disciple of the primordial Dorje Chang Buddha. When He was a practitioner during past lives, He made 48 great vows. After He became a Buddha, He created a magnificent Buddhist pure land, which is called The Western Paradise of Ultimate Bliss. Amitabha Buddha is the founder of Western Paradise of Ultimate Bliss.
To celebrate the holy birthday of Amitabha Buddha, the United International World Buddhism Association Headquarters (U.I.W.B.A.H.), Hua Zang Si and Sanger Mission will jointly hold The Amitabha Buddha Dharma Assembly at Hua Zang Si in San Francisco on Sunday, December 15, 2013 at 9:30a.m.
During the Dharma assembly, we will recite sutras and chant the holy name of the Buddha. Merit will be dedicated to the attainment of world peace, happiness and harmony of all people. It is our sincere wish that all sentient beings gain rebirth in a Buddhist pure land.

KSITIGARBHA BODHISATTVA DHARMA ASSEMBLY
To celebrate the Pavarana Day and the holy birthday of Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva, the United International World Buddhism Association Headquarters, Hua Zang Si, and Sanger Mission will jointly hold a Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva Dharma Assembly, in which the consciousness of the deceased will be transmigrated to higher realms, on Sunday, September 1, 2013 at 9:30 a.m. in the Sakyamuni Buddha Hall at Hua Zang Si in San Francisco. We will chant sutras, perform the Buddhist ritual of transmigrating the consciousness of the deceased, and make offerings to Buddhas.
The practice of the transmigration of the consciousness will be dedicated to the deceased listed in Form A. Prayers for fortune and elimination of disasters will be dedicated to the ones listed in Form B. We welcome all good believers in ten directions to join us and share the Dharma benefit.

Skanda Bodhisattva Dharma Assembly
Skanda Bodhisattva, the great Holy Dharma Protector protects and blesses all sentient beings in the universe with great compassion. He looks over the entire universe through his concentration and insight as he traverses between the earth and heaven day and night. Skanda Bodhisattva often uses his samadhi concentration to stabilize everything contained in the universe.

Bathing the Buddha Dharma Assembly
The eighth day of the April of the Chinese lunar calendar is the holy birthday of Sakyamuni Buddha. Before the Buddha renounced and reached enlightenment, he was known as Prince Siddhartha. According to Buddhist sutras, right after the Prince was born, He said, with one hand pointing to the sky and the other pointing to the ground, “From heaven to earth, I alone am the world-honored one.” Nine dragons in the sky then poured streams of fragrant water from their mouths to bathe the prince’s body. Ever since, Buddhists hold the Bathing the Buddha Dharma Assembly to celebrate the holy birth of the Buddha.
The Sutra on the Merits Accrued from Bathing the Buddha states many of the benefits of bathing the Buddha: The practitioners will experience wealth and well-being in this life time. They will have great health and long life. Their wishes will be granted. Families and friends will live in harmony, be far away from the eight difficulties, and be free from all karmic conditions that will result in sufferings.
To celebrate the holy birthday of Sakyamuni Buddha, the United International World Buddhism Association Headquarters (U.I.W.B.A.H.), Hua Zang Si, and Sanger Mission will hold the Bathing the Buddha Dharma Assembly on Sunday, May 12, 2013 at 9:30 a.m. in the Sakyamuni Buddha Hall at Hua Zang Si in San Francisco. We will bathe the Buddha with the most wonderful fragrant water.

釋迦牟尼佛佛誕浴佛法會
農曆四月初八，是釋迦佛陀的佛誕日。據佛經記載，悉達多太子，也就是後來出家成道的釋迦牟尼佛，誕生後，一手指天，一手指地，說道：「天上天下，唯我獨尊」。隨即九龍吐水，天降香湯浴太子身。後世佛教徒為慶祝佛陀誕生，於每年的佛誕日舉行浴佛法會。
《浴佛功德經》中云，浴佛的利益有：現受富樂，無病延年；於所願求，無不隨意；親友眷屬，悉皆安穩；長辭八難，永出苦緣。
